Oh look, a game that looks to be an update to mechanics used in Diplomacy!

I did back the 7th Sea 2nd ed RPG, and I just happen to like Diplomacy, despite everyone's insistence that it guarantees at least one ruined friendship. Maybe that'll make me a bit biased, but I'm interested. One of my main complaints was that all the hours needed to play the game was a bit much. This seems to be trying to streamline that, which I like. I'm not entirely sure about the 2 minute open negotiation phase. It makes for a more efficient game, but I'm worried that it will kill some of the intrigue.

The $100 mini-pushing price point isn't ideal for me, so I'll wait a bit to see if something thoroughly convinces me before pulling any triggers.
