Hey everyone,
I've got a new group of 4-5 that meets every week, and I'm trying to figure out my next buy. Money isn't an issue, but I can only get 1 game. My problem is, I've got people who like lots of different genres. I like anything, but I've got one who likes abstracts and modulars, one who likes party games, one who "doesn't like to think very hard" and one who just goes with the flow. I kind of want something thematic, because I haven't introduced that genre yet.
Favorites at the table are Love Letter, Cards Against Humanity, Blokus, Ingenious, and Settlers. Like I said, new group. I introduced them to deck builders through Dominion, strategy games through TTR, and we've also played Spelndor. Hopefully that gives you an idea of what I've got in my group. I'm leaning towards King of Tokyo, since it's got a fun theme and there's a few different mechanics they already understand. But, persuade me! Feel free to go off the list and suggest another game too!
Oh, and game time shouldn't be more than an hour and a half.
