So I'm kind of at some crossroads here. I would LOVE to get the Dune board game, because I'm on a real Dune kick lately, but its like 200 bucks. I know that fantasy flight has Rex out which is improved Dune mechanics for the TI universe (if only they could've gotten the dune license), and at least Tom Vassal likes it and it seems pretty good. Alternatively, I know Ilya has a Dune redesign out, but I tried to look at that, and there's so many parts and updates hidden in the discussion and whatnot, that it seems hard to assemble make, plus it sounds like serious money, like more than Rex, possibly close to original Dune. The TI universe is nice and all but, it doesn't seem like its the same without dune. Plus, like, how do they implement the whole lasgun shield=kablam in TI? I just really don't know which direction to go in, and I can't just break out the B.G. sense to know for myself.
