DLC4 zombie theory

On BO1 the original characters (Primus) blew up the Earth (Moon EE) and we never found out what happened to next.
The characters we're currently playing in BO3 (since BO2's Origins) are trying to secure a better tomorrow, by collecting the soul of their alternate selves (not the same a the Primus group) Also each in four different universes.
Do you guys remember the new Moon loading screen? What if the current characters went back in time to try to stop the Primus group from ever destroying the Earth?
