Don’t worry, I already know that I need a full chromoly bike and most likely a 21” TT at the bare minimum.

My 2 year old got a strider bike for his 1st birthday and has been using it here and there. I took him to the local skate park today for his first time and let him walk around on his strider. Within 10 minutes he was coasting down hills and laughing his butt off.

It’s been 20 years since my glory days as a teenager riding my haro bmx bike at the park. I never got into racing, just park and freestyle stuff.

Anyway, seeing my kid light up today at the park overdosed me on dopamine and now I need a bike so I can ride with him.

I’m 6’ and 300ish. I’m looking for a bike I could ride around the neighborhood with him but also putz around at the local park too. I’ve seen some bmx bikes with 22-24” tires on them, but I’ve only seen them on dirt tracks and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one at a park. I’d love one that has a gyro so I can do bar spins without tangling my brake line up.

Any brands / recommendations / insight on what I should buy?
