Filming with both 6K and 4K cameras
Post Body

Hi,

I am currently producing/shooting a micro budget doc, with the majority of which has been filmed on the 4K, which I own. We are about to start filming sit down interviews and I wanted to use a 2 camera setup. I was thinking of renting the 6K to use as the main camera and using my 4K as the B/profile camera. I like the idea of having the extra resolution on the 6K to give us the ability to punch in a little in post if we wanted (we would deliver at 4K). I was wondering if there was anything I should be aware of when mixing footage from these camera's, assuming I use the same codec, lenses, and make sure they are color balanced as close as possible on set. Also, would there be a big difference in the regular 6K vs the 6K pro. In my mind since they are both Blackmagic Pocket cameras it wouldn't be too difficult to mix the footage together, but I'm not familiar enough with the 6K to know.

Thank you.

Edit: Thank you all for your input. I found a used 6K Pro for sale so I bought it and will start filming next month. Thank you again!
