IMU post stabilization
Post Body
So Sony introduced post stabilization by writing IMU data for every raw frame and providing some software to convert the footage...
From what I have heard the workflow for that is fairly awkward.
But I really like the idea, and I have been wondering if Blackmagic couldnt easily outdo Sony with a firmware upgrade/resolve update:
- The bmpcc has an IMU (though I dont know how good it is, but I am assuming they didnt put a 50 cent aliexpress IMU into their $2k cinema labelled camera)
- BM has a dedicated raw file format they could stuff the data into
- Unlike Sony, BM has its own editing software they can easily integrate with and make for a very streamlined workflow
