We've reached that point in a controversy where you can no longer find people doing the thing that everyone is complaining about, only people complaining about it. At this stage, I can't actually find any posts or comments where people are aggressively engaging in a shipping war over Jean-Luc/Bluey vs. Mackenzie/Bluey, only posts and comments from people either bemoaning the fact that this phantom shipping war is happening, people begging the fandom not to devolve into a shipping war, or people arguing why there's not really anything wrong with getting involved in a shipping war. This is the meta stage of the controversy, where the controversy itself is now the topic of discussions rather than the actual subject of the controversy itself. And now, with my post pointing this out, have we entered the post-meta stage? Haha.
