Anxious skink mom here, looking for reassurance. I took my 10 month old northern out today to give a lecture about skink conservation and let some of the students pet his back. He was out for about 3 hours. He’s taken trips outside before, but this is the longest one by far. He seemed very chill and wanted to climb on everyone’s shoulder and his tongue was going crazy the whole time.
However, now I’m worried that I shouldn’t have done it and that he’s going to get sick or get a respiratory infection, and the thought kills me because he’s basically my unofficial emotional support animal.
Does anyone have any experience with taking their skinks out in public like this? Is he likely to get sick? TIA
