Good day. I was watching BB on ION this afternoon, episode is eddie riding with a new partner, they stop a guy with expired registration, the partner plants drugs, which leads to a bad search, they find a gun used in a homicide, Yada Yada Yada. So jamie calls the new partner into his office, confronts him with the bad search. I'm looking at the uniform. He has 3 hash marks on both sleeves, I believe that means 15 years service, he had sergeant stripes on the right sleeve only, but a patrolman silver shield. Is this a thing in the NYPD or did someone in the costuming department get it wrong? Just curious.
