I am simply unable to beat Luwdig. Having played all three Dark Souls, Bloodborne took some adjustment but, after Vicar Amelia, nothing was insurmountable. Until I came to the Hunter's Nightmare that is. Just through shear repetition, I am now able to get through his first phase even when I'm not trying that hard. His second phase however always finds a way of destroying my flow. Aside from two of his more obvious tells, healing is next to impossible without him punishing you for even considering to try. Unless you're one of those No-Hit Run guys, not taking damage is hard, and finding an opening to heal is insufferably difficult in this phase. And seemingly every single time I'm within inches of beating him, he manages to pull a rabbit out of his hat and nail me with his large charge attack. If I'm playing just okay, I can always avoid it but, somehow only when I'm doing well, he suddenly has laser precision. Then I just get infuriated and can't focus enough to get past the first phase.
I made steady progress throughout this game within the span of a month and stopped short of Gehrman before trying the DLC. Now I feel that I've hit an unbeatable roadblock.
