Bit of a Fromsoft noob here, Elden Ring and SoTE were my first in the genre and I just recently picked up Bloodborne.
I didn’t think anything could top Elden Ring but I think I may prefer the pacing and combat of BB. I’m not too far into the game, I just got to Old Yharnam but I can already tell this will be one of my top games of all time.
I think ER being my intro and now understanding how From games generally work mechanically I was able to immediately jump into BB and hit the ground running.
One of the big differences I noticed in the combat is that there is way less of a delay when an enemy swings there weapon, this makes the fights feel more learnable / palatable to me. Overall it keeps me in the groove if I can more accurately identify why I’m getting killed. This may be a skill issue when it comes to ER but there’s just something about BB combat that feels so satisfying.
