Box cutter insist on cutting in an angle

as soon as i started to use this add on i recieved i reminder for why i stopped.
for some reason the moment i tried to use it on something more complex then a cube i started to have trouble the damn thing simply refuse to cut in a straight angle
any idea why it happens and how to solve it?
