So Ben's story had me thinking about a couple of anecdotes that I have.
So when I went to The Matrix Resurrections I had this kind of situation. We had a very respectful crowd outside of two people down the aisle from me that were just...gabbin' out loud. After about twenty minutes I shouted," Shut the fuck up or I'm gonna come down there, and you don't want that!" They immediately silenced. Shortly thereafter one fell asleep (guess he can't stay awake if he can't talk), snoring loudly. I had to tell again, telling the other gentleman, "Wake them the fuck up or I'm gonna come do it for you!"
At the premiere of TFA my buddy noticed someone was playing with a laser pointer on the screen during the opening crawl. He's big, bald, bearded, and has a deep and intimidating voice. He growled, "Who am I knocking the shit out of after the movie?" and it ceased immediately.
I'm there to see a movie. Everyone else is there to see a movie. Don't feel bad if you have to shut people up when you're trying to watch something you paid to see. It doesn't always have to be aggressive like these two things, but people can be so rude and you don't have to feel any guilt for standing up for yourself.
Tell those fucking teens to shut it, Ben. Tell them.
