Post Body

Below is the opening scene to a script idea I have. It is a short excerpt, but wanted the groups opinion.

INT: POLICE LOCKER ROOM SHOWERS

We follow as a man walks into the open tiled room. He has a towel in his hand. We hear the shower getting louder as he nears. We see water mixed with blood and dirt. We cross behind the man and up over his shoulder.

The showering man turns to face his visitor. Continuing to wash his lean body. Even in the hot steaming water he looks unkept. His hair is greasy and his beard gives him an almost animalistic look. His blue eyes however are clear and alert. But convey the disappointment.

He catches the towel thrown at him and wraps it around his waist.

INT: WALTERS OFFICE

Behind the desk sat the last cowboy. He had everything down to the hat, which at the moment sat on the desk between them.

      WALTERS

Jesus Tac.

      TAC

I had a lead.

      WALTERS

You should have handed it to Ellison or Monte. Hell, even Rodriguez.

Tac leans back in his chair, stares at the fluorescent lights a moment before returning Walters gaze.

      WALTERS

You were given a desk. And I don't think I have to remind you why you were put on it.

Walters was referring to a shooting last year. Bullet went straight through a nexus 5 I had been after. But found it's place in an 11 year old boy who was behind him. I was cleared, but have been in a desk ever since.

      TAC

Am I suspended?

      WALTERS

No. You should be dead is what you should be.
