First one: Where did the name Bladerunner come from? Did they use to have swords or run on some sort of blades?
Second one: How did K’s JOI light up K’s cigarette?

I'm with the theory the projection unit for the DiJi focuses and magnifies light to ignite the cigarette. Not sure on the Blade Runner thing. I remember reading somewhere it's because they cut out useless "skin" like a surgeon but I think it might have been a Rolling Stone article and opinion piece.
