I had a post pop up on Pinterest saying ‘how to clean the black stone after cooking’. I read it and it hit me…no wonder so many people have problems and post seasoning issues.
It was a joke. The point it said ‘put griddle in oven’ sums it up.
Newbies, treat it gentle but firm. Oil lightly and smoke the oil in high several times. Clean after every use with a scraper and using it lightly. Hit it with some water, wipe off, oil lightly. Now, this is my method and I haven’t had to re-season once. Others may do things a bit different and if it works, then go with the easiest.
FYI, if it says take a steel brush to it to clean it, freaking close the link!!!
