How do you keep the mice off your griddle?

Hi Blackstone team. Hoping someone can help. Just bought my blackstone 36" griddle. I love it. We have it at our cottage so are not around during the week to use it. When I get up on there on Friday night, there is always mouse droppings on the griddle. Does anyone else have this problem and what is the solution? I don't want to put mouse traps or anything on the cooking surface. I have heard chlorine pucks around the outside, glue traps underneath...
