Hey all! I've played every CoD ever made and have played at a decently high level (1.5-2.0KDA ) in all of them. I really love the series and prefer to view the franchise from an optimistic lens: focusing on the things I enjoy and the overall fun I get from playing them. I'd like to share some things I love as well as some things I'd like to see added to the game.

Positive Feedback:

The Music Player: Wow did I have no idea how much I wanted this. This is a GREAT addition. Having a built in playlist that feeds my run and gun playstyle has been hugely enjoyable and brought back so much nostalgia from Black Ops 2. This is single handedly my favorite addition to the franchise and I hope it stays and gets built upon even more.

Stealth Perks: Treyarch, thank you SO MUCH for bringing back this build. Specifically the addition of the Ninja perk as a replacement of Dead Silence. Not having access to it in Mw (2019) severely damaged my enjoyment of the game (I know about the active dead silence, its not the same.) This alone has made me enjoy the game in ways I didn't enjoy the last installment. Please never take away dead silence again, not only has its addition brought back viability to my play style but it has reduced camping and increased player movement by a significant margin.

Snipers and Shotguns: Its pretty obvious that these have been toned down heavily from the last few games. With the exception of the map Satellite, people in my lobbies don't tend to overuse them. They are used a healthy amount but aren't dominating the game like they often have in previous installments. Taking away the overuse of one-shot one-kill weapons has drastically improved my fun while playing the game.

Things I'd like to see:

Melee Improvements: I don't think there is ever a logical reason to use melee in this game. With the exception of the knife, it is almost completely useless. I would like to see either a perk or a weapon attachment that makes it a one-hit kill. The bruiser grip is decent, but it still doesn't compensate for how underwhelming the melee is. The melee is too weak, and the recoil (on you, the user) is too high for it to be a viable option in a gun fight.

Bullet Penetration: There are so many walls in this game that you either can't shoot through, or your damage is so low its not even worth it. MW (2019) had this same problem and so have many of its predecessors. The bullet penetration from the original Modern Warfare series (1 through 3), Black Ops 2, and Ghosts made it much more feasible to punish people for hiding behind walls. I think either weaker walls or additional bullet penetration would be a huge quality of life increase. There are Killhouse-esque walls on Checkmate that you can't shoot through with an LMG.

Thats about it! There are some other changes I'd like to see but I feel they will happen naturally. The game isn't perfect by any means, but I think it is excellent in regards to fun gameplay and reminds me of the older games so many people are nostalgic about. In my mind, this is the real Black Ops 3. I'm looking forward to seeing the game progress and I hope if you see my post you are open to looking into the things I brought up.

Thank you for reading!
