Currently, there has been a debate in the cod competitive community about what should be banned in play for BO3, if anything at all. I'm not talking about protects and bans, I mean when things are globally banned across all competitive games(stuff like UAV, CUAV, care package, trip mines/claymores, shock charges were banned in past games. Generally stuff that are claimed to lower the skill gap.)
The people who support heavy amounts of bans say that some things such as LMGs, some specialists, thermites, shotguns, and other things are OP/unskillful and thus should be banned. The people who are against heavy amounts of bans say that we should try to just adapt to using new stuff, instead of just ARs/SMGs most games, also that having lots of bans scares away public match players because it distances what is played in public matches from competitive play.
So I want to ask the people who are not currently interested in competitive play from a public match player's perspective, why do you not watch? Do bans discourage you from being interested? Or something else?
