Singularity and posthumanist themes in Black Mirror
Post Body

The moment I began watching Black Mirror, I was so excited because it has themes of singularity, posthumanism, and transhumanism. I had a course at school this past semester in which we discussed some of these topics, and I almost did my final project on Black Mirror.

The second episode I watched was "Playtest," and when Cooper picked up "A Brief Guide to the Singularity" by Sadie Goulding (not a real book, it seems), I was jumping up and down and was like "OOHHHH I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE!!" It was such a wonderful, subtle hint at the ideas which the show is portraying.

Just wondering if anyone else thinks of these things while watching Black Mirror. There's some really interesting philosophy in the topic, and Black Mirror is such a cool media representation of a lot of these ideas.
