I'm making my way slowly but surely through Black Mirror, and it's been quite fantastic - the twists, Brooker's writing, complex ideas and morals of the stories and the way social media links in...It's really impressive and I've enjoyed the majority - I can't wait to continue watching, in fact.
However, I was wondering if anyone could explain 'Playtest' to me. I am rather confused about what was real and what was not (aka when does the reality stop/begin?) and the message that was trying to be put across, amongst other things. I feel like I need an 'ExplainLikeImFive' explanation of the episode - would anyone be willing to shed light? I don't even know exactly what other stuff I am confused about, it just felt like it didn't piece together properly for me and I want to understand. I've tried having a look in this subreddit but I'm scared of coming upon spoilers at the same time! It also seems odd that something as simple as phone interference is what killed the victim/subject of the experiment.
I feel like I may be missing something really obvious but I've just not felt the same closure with this episode that I have with all of the previous ones and it's put me in a bad mood! Please help! It may just be that I need to rewatch this one, perhaps!
Thank you!
