I’m wrapping up my spring semester in a little more than a week and won’t be going back until the fall and one thing I’ve always wanted to try is gymnastics. I’m kinda on the fence about some things though.

How common is it for black girls to be in gymnastics? I know Simone Biles is literally changing the world with every year life she has (and I love her for it) but is it mostly primarily white?

And if so how does one connect with a black-owned, more black frequented gymnastics class?

I know it’ll be a whole nother mess since I’ll be an adult beginner lol, but that’s why I’d rather find a way to do it without so many microaggressions.

Would it be worth it t look for a black personal gymnastics trainer instead?
