Having a hard to pronounce name has made me not put myself out there in many important situations

My name is not crazy hard to pronounce, but it takes a lot of repeat to get it right, and usually I don't have the patience to teach people multiple times to get it right. I'm of the belief that if you can't say it right don't say it. I'm tired of having my name be butchered, but it also means I don't put myself out there to be remembered. Anyone else get in those situations, where it get almost embarrassing with how much they butcher your name, even after you correct them?
