(Repost) Anybody else notice the amount of Anti blackness going on in the Mixed Race subreddit? Also just the overall hostility towards darker skinned black women?
Post Body

I say this because I went on there earlier just to see Mixed People's perspective on the Tyla "Colured" situation and although that post was pretty tame I would then go on to explore a lot more post and found a lot of Anti blackness from the people in the comments. It's one thing to criticize and of course like any other community, the black community is worthy of it but it's one thing to criticize and another thing to full on hate on us and blame us for evey little thing.

Like I saw someone falsely claim that black people don't except Obama as black (which isn't true as most of us do or we consider him biracial but that's not to be malicious that's just literally what he is lol) and that we hate Rosa parks due to the fact that she's light skinned and because she got far more exposure than Claudette Clouve. Once again, we don't lol (Don't believe 4 crazy people on the internet)

Just because we think it was messed up that Rosa got far more exposure than Claudette who refused to give up her seat first and was in overapl worst conditions than Rosa doesn't mean we doesn't think Rosa doesn't deserve her success and hate her for being light skinned. Us saying that we feel that her being light skinned probably helped her get more exposure doesn't mean that we hate her. It's just simply being realistic.

Not to mention, just overall, getting mad at black people for everything, lol. They get mad when we don't consider them to be black and just biracial and then get mad when we say they're black or want them to identify as black. Like at this point, what do you want from us?

Not to mention the obvious distaste for dark skinned black women and constant claim that we are so hostile towards them or attack them for no reason. I'm sorry, but do you guys not realize the amount of unnecessary BS, colorism, and Anti blackness you guys display online and sometimes in person? Apparently not, lol. (Which isn't always, but it unfortunately happens quite often, which is the reason for a lot of the criticism)

This isn't to hate on Mixed Raced people, btw. I love them like anybody and consider them to be a part of the community. I know not all of them are like this and have even seen some mixed people call out other mixed people for their racism but I just wanted to post about it on this subreddit to see if you guys have also noticed it.

(This is a repost because I didn't really like my old post)
