Okay so heres the tea. Growin up my mother was a lil bit too busy w ha white man so I had to figure out “beauty” on my own. She taught me basics but, after 12 it was v much every lil girl for themselves (Im the youngest of 3 girls). So, Hair care was the last thing for me to discover cause my mom has had a perm my whole life. Never even seen her hair. My sister on the other hand was into hair care and id watch her from a distance. Now I live on my own and have started doing my own hair. Its more grown out in the crown /kitchen area but the lower kitchen is shorter and so are the sides. My Hair is dyed blonde but I plan on dying it back to black. I booked and appointment for some knotless braids and am so excited!!
side note: Ive always done my own styles but never like “hair care”. Im kind of shy about my hair so have always opted to do my own .
Anyways? My questions are - How should I come for the appointments? It wasnt said on the website so How do yall normally show up? Washed, blow dried, moisturized?
Have you been charged more for having shorter hair? My hair goes to about my neck but above i stated i have shorter hair in the back. (I wouldnt even know what to say, these new hairstylists are crazy and i live in a big city.)
What dye do you use that lasts for a kinkier hair type? Im 4b/c in some places on my head. I have thick ass hair and that adore dye shit, basically slides right off🙄
After care for knotless braids! I want these to last a while. Will oiling them at night make them come out? Bonnets or scarves?
also any positivity / stories / hair care advice is also welcome!
