I am REALLY struggling with figuring out what dating and a healthy long term relationship will look like for me and i’m wondering if other Black queer women have the same issues. I’ve dated all kinds of people but always hit some sort of road block that pertained to my identity. I dated a white guy but it turned out he was fetishising black women, dated a Black guy who turned out to be disrespectful/misogynistic, dated some Black women and I’d say that’s where I’ve had the most luck but they have just ended up not wanting anything long term/not taking a queer relationship seriously, etc. I know part of my dating troubles is just the nature of the chaotic dating scene for people in their 20s but man is it exhausting. I know that there are definitely good people out there so I would love to hear some people who have success stories with Gen z dating, advice, or just anyone who relates, especially if you are both Black and lgbt :) thank you guys This is my first post here after i discovered this sub a few minutes ago and i am sooo grateful for the space, could never ask a question like this in the relationship advice sub Also just in case. disclaimer I am 100% not saying that every Black guy is misogynistic etc, just explaining what my personal history looks like :)
