I am a 34 year old mom and I hate my hair and have hated it for as long as I've lived. It's difficult to deal with. My mother never taught me how to take care of it. And when I would go to salons all I would hear is "omg I love your hair it's so thick and grows so fast, but I wouldn't want it that's a tough hair type to manage." And this is among black women saying this. I've tried so many different things other than just going to salons. And I can't afford it anymore. Twice in my life I've just went bald because I couldn't take going outside looking crazy because my hair was a mess. I'm really tempted to do it again. It causes me so much anxiety and stress. I just feel without it I look less feminine. At this point I'm at a loss.
