I got a polite back off last night. Had only played less than 6 hands. Wasn’t even counting yet because I had just landed in the middle of the shoe and so was only playing table minimum until the shuffle and making fun of the pit bosses receding hairline.

Anyway, like as it was happening, the host office from the same casino is calling my cell phone. To offer me some basketball tickets and free play for table games. This was at the same time that security was saying to me he thinks he knows what I am doing with my bets, that this was a long time coming, and I won’t be able to play for two years if I keep playing and I try to raise my bet. Yada yada.

It was super weird. Like the host and the security were not even talking to the same person.

This place has a reputation for not playing nice, at all, with back offs. So I would double down on the fact that they were not splitting good cop with bad cop.

Do I have a doppelgänger? What happened? Were they just sending the new guy out to look for blinker fluid?
