Domain name, impact on SEO ?

Hi Reddit,
I can't find a good source that is telling me if the domain name has an impact on the position on Google.
For example, if i buy the domaine name notonly.bike and my website is not speaking about bikes. Does Google in his algorithm will say "what an asshole, joke on domaine names are not funny at all" and will take me down the results pages ?
