Workers, Nodes & What to buy?

I just started playing BDO I'm level 30 now, I was wondering if I should be investing in every node? Or perhaps just the farms.
Also what does everyone do with the produce from the nodes? Should I sell it or try and process it? Is there a popular item to craft?
I also have started amassing silver, I love this, but I have no idea what to spend it on? I understand you can buy boss gear but once I have the best gear is silver useless?
