Here's my takeaway from the events in Slough - nothing major has been shutdown today (globally) as some carriers are still disentangling their BIS/BES ends of the infrastructure.
Some of the kit has been restarted for the first time in a while which has improved performance as users have been noticing already (!). Some of the ancillary kit has been shut off in Waterloo (mostly storage).
It's not been revealed to us minions when things will resume or what the actual timeline is, and we have no new invite back.
But it's basically all still running and any disconnections posted are just carrier side ones as carriers start to remove their support.
This means it's likely NOT to be a 'big bang', but more and more drop-offs as carriers work their ends out, followed by the final BB10 (general internet connection) cut. As posted earlier - the issues with BB Protect removals have incidentally been resolved... try again now if you received the 'forever spinning wheel' in the past.
(I'm not a BlackBerry employee or contractor, and nothing here is from the company itself. I could be completely wrong or misled!).
