White belt in his 30s... I feel like my body is my biggest enemy tbh. Got thrown by a purple belt while training. Landed on my bum shoulder. Now it's useless. Guy wasn't trying to hurt me; I just didn't breakfall correctly.
Went to the doc. Said it was just muscular. Gave me flexoril and told me to ice it. Then heat it. Stretch it and move it. So I did.
Two weeks later, was feeling mostly better... till I rolled with a white belt even newer than me, and he went foe the choke (cause I let him) and I went to roll out/away and bam. Rolled right onto the same muscle and had to tap.
So now, I'm trying to remind myself why I do this and why I'm not going to quit while at the same time, I SLOW down and listen to my body.
