How to deal with strong fat people?
Post Body

With gyms slowly opening up, i’m looking forward to going back to my gym and training again. what I’m not looking forward to is a couple who are both fat and strong, I’m talking the guy is probably 5’11 230-240 his wife is just as tall but probably closer to 250-260 weight. They are both blue belts

I’m a blue belt as well but I’m 5’6 140 at the moment gained weight during the quarantine and from not being able to train. But when I train consistently I’m hover around 132-135.

All they do is drop their weight on me and smash pass every time no real technical passes, even when I do get them in a submission hold they power out , for example I once got an omoplata on the wife and she literally just stood up and dropped me then dropped all her weight on me.

How do I mange it? What can I do to try to “survive” a round with them. Do I just avoid them all together ? If I do the always say “oh you ducking me, or you scared?” No it’s just not fun just to have all the weight on my face or neck the entire 6 minute round.
