Since I started, rolling has essentially replaced running for cardio. I now run to supplement BJJ. I developed hip strains and a case of minor hip arthritis (at age 28, it sucks) from running. I now don't have as many painful hip pain flareups as I used to.
I play soccer recreationally with my friends and since we can never get the pitches with actual goals we use hockey style goals. The shrimping helps me defend and block shots believe it or not. I do find myself in combat base to get ready to close the five hole when a shot comes my way.
