Impossible to Open a Bjj school?
Post Body

Here is my story: I started bjj when I first turned 22 when I was still a university student. I fell in love with bjj almost like I feel in love with a women, it was the first thing I thought about when I woke and the last thing when I went to sleep (it still is). I thought about leaving university to pursue a career in bjj because that's how much I loved it, but my parents convinced me that bjj was to be nothing but a hobby and had to act like an "adult" and graduate and get a real job. The whole time in university and after graduating my first year of work I hated it felt no passion for either and just looked at the clock so I could finish and train bjj. I don't have great talent in bjj unlike in other aspects of life where people consider quite gifted intellectually, went to a top 15 school and studied neuroscience. But I feel nothing for these things and only feel real passion for the sport. Finally my parents realized that I was miserable and did the right thing and support my dream of owning my own school. I am now a 26 year old purple belt although I am not a great natural athlete, hard work has made me pretty good at bjj (but by no amazing), I have trained daily 6 days a week for 1-2 hrs a day. I have noticed so many of purple and brown belts talking about opening school. I am scared that the market will get saturated with people opening schools. I am willing to work harder than anyone to have my dream happen. Do you think I can open a successful school? What steps should I take to make this happen financial as well in bjj?

Thanks Guys!
