Should I take my stripes off after returning from a long break?
Post Body

Hello everyone,

I started training in BJJ in 2020 and trained for 1 year about 2-3 times per week (definitely missed some days due to kids and injuries). Due to financial reasons I had to step back and eventually stop attending the classes and cancel my membership. I was officially awarded 2 stripes but our gym owner was away a lot and almost never attended the 6am class so a lot of the guys who I trained with also attended the evening class when unable to attend the morning class were a stripe or two ahead of me even though we were equally matched and knowledgeable. I haven't trained for two years, but a chance to return is coming up and I'm excited as I never lost interest. I am also nervous since it has been awhile. This will be with a new gym and new instructor but closer to home which is of course the biggest plus.

However, my main question is, should I remove my two stripes and attend the class from ground zero?
