Had a teeny tiny friction burn on my knee that was mostly healed. Sunday i trained in the gi (so the wound was covered by gi pants even) and that friction from the pants re opened it a little bit.
Monday sore. Tuesday more sore. Wednesday swollen and can't walk. Thursday in the ER getting IV antibiotics. Today I'm still here getting IVs 4 times a day while they monitor for septic arthritis in my knee.
Luckily I'm improving and looks like I'll be fine to go home soon and switch to ingesting antibiotics rather than intravenous.
But all could've been avoided if i waited literally one more day to train and didn't think "it's pretty much healed, I'm good."
