Abietic acid is extremely available by simple base/acid extraction from pine rosin, which you can buy anywhere online or get from a tree nearby.

I realize that they are not exactly the same rings, but both have three 6-membered rings in a similar configuration. There are also many other differences of course, but my untrained eyes can't help but seeing some similarity.
Am I being crazy or could this be somewhat interesting? Like, could we add a carbon chain to the carboxylic group of abietic acid and hope for some activity maybe?
Please don't laugh, I'm learning :)
