I am starting my fourth year of organic chemistry at the university of New Mexico and I was wondering why other countries don't seem to show up in the history books very often. Europe seems to have been very successful but not so much for all the black countries in Africa. I have looked into black people doing chemistry and most of the stuff I can find is about cooking crack. I'm not trying to be racist, I'm just curious why. Is it something to do with racist disparities in reporting? Maybe stolen recipes?
I mean... the same can be said for other types of science.
