Bistitchuals: What was the hardest thing about learning to knit/crochet as a "second language" (not sure how to phrase that)?
Post Body

I knit for over 15 years before I finally took the plunge into crochet. I was always really jealous of the speed at which crochet worked up. My first pattern was a baby dress. Apart from learning to read my patterns and my stitches all over again (which really was like learning a new language), my biggest problem was how awkward it felt to hold my yarn in my left hand and "grab" it. It all felt backwards to me since I knit English. Funny thing is, as soon as crochet clicked for me, I was suddenly able to knit Continental, too! Now, inspired by /u/catmanandrobin's post, I'm looking into naalbinding. :)
