Questioning after having a baby?
Post Body

I hope this is the right place for this. I'm just looking for a place to think out loud I think.

I have identified as bisexual since I was 14, I'm now 26 (F). I had a baby 9 months ago and I have been waiting for my sex drive to normalise and it just hasn't. I haven't been attracted to men since I gave birth. This is really tanking my sex life because I am in a super happy and long term monogamous relationship with a male partner (31M). We are enjoying raising a baby together and our home life is lovely, but intimacy is just not happening.

I guess this could be a product of birth trauma and fear of pregnancy. It could also be that we moved halfway round the world right before COVID and haven't been able to make any friends, so we could just be sick of each others company.

I have more recently been considering that perhaps I'm no longer bisexual? That perhaps, since fulfilling a life goal I had, or possible even a biological urge, that my brain has thrown out the male attraction? I'm talking this over with my partner and his solution is a threesome, or some kind of poly relationship, but honestly I'm just too monogamous for that and I don't like the idea.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? My sexuality has always been pretty stable so a fluid identity is not something Ive dealt with much. I honestly struggle with the right language to use to get my thoughts across. Could I be gay now? I love my family and I'd rather not be.

Edited to add following a few comments: I still feel sexy. My sex drive isnt really the issue. I feel attracted to women and fantasise both sexually and romantically about being with women. My sex life isn't really an issue either, my partner and I work hard to reconnect whenever we can but I have so far only enjoyed sexual acts I can imagine doing with a woman. Anything else I enjoy because he derives pleasure from it and I love him and want him to feel good. Not because I enjoy it. Which I kind of think of as a different situation to loss of libido. Maybe that clarifies?
