I’m 22m, and I consider myself mostly straight, like the romantic and sexual attraction towards women but I struggle and usually fail to make anything meaningful them. I don’t feel like have any romantic feelings towards men, but I have a moderate sexual attraction, but it’s not towards my male friends and I don’t find myself checking out other men in public settings, it’s really just about the fantasy of sex with another male, whether I’ve seen it on porn either bisexual or gay porn, or just chatting online on dating sites. I find it really difficult (and haven’t) followed through with any male I talk to in regards to try and go out with them, more for the fear that I may not like it or someone would try to hold it against me and out me because I really would like to have a family someday if I can find the right one, (more than likely a woman) but it gets disappointing when I can’t get any meaningful relationship or just the chance to date to the opposite gender, and it sort of makes me feel good when a male on a dating site will compliment, whether it’s sincere or just to get in my pants, it makes me sit and wonder whether to continue an uphill battle with the hetero dating scene or just go into a bisexual/gay dating scene, or maybe experiment with it and just call it a learning experience if I find that I don’t like it. (Note: I don’t have an issue with trying to make everyone like me or being alone, I have friends and family, it’s just that I am not good at making romantic connections) I appreciate any input.
