Hello friends. As a career firefighter, and a bisexual male, I’m curious if there is anyone who is open about their bisexuality at the firehouse? I was at a union convention last week and had a moment to talk to a co-worker who is a lesbian and knows my status. She was encouraging me to open up to others at the firehouse. Historically speaking gay or bi male firefighters haven’t been openly accepted, not as much as females have. Needless to say, as much as I want to be open about it. The idea of doing so scares the hell out of me too.
