So I think I may have been an idiot today

I always keep a tub of pink, purple and blue Tic Tacs on my desk (ok it's a mix of Berry Bliss and Intense Mint!) for when I want a wee sweet. It helps me feel good and obv I love the bi colours

I'm a general manager in a healthcare environment.

I was sitting outside my office on my secretary's desk this afternoon (she's working from home) eating a few of these lo-cal goodies and checking my phone when a person I really like chatting to walked past on her way home.

Small-talk ensued "what are your plans for the weekend? I still want to buy a hammock etc etc" and I offered her a sweet from my cup. She asked "what do you call these?" and without thinking I said "bisexual tic tacs" - which is what I always call this mix

She checked again what I said and I repeated it. Ouch! She said that was great and kept chatting and was really chatty as she left

She wears an explicitly LGBT lanyard and I wear a bi one but shit I really don't want to come across as creepy or weird to her or anyone else

I'm not openly bi at work but those who know, know.....tiny numbers though

I feel really bad that I may have made her feel uncomfortable
