• In no way shape or form am I saying that straight men and lesbian sexuality are the same.
As a bisexual woman,
I am noticing a growing trend of (social) media that is labeled for bisexual women but is often just content that only represents a part of my sexuality. It’s specifically just a lot of WLW images/wording. Which just feels fetishizing?
Especially when it’s just posts after posts of thin white girls making out.
About to get real harsh here but I’ve spoken with. My other bisexual women and, we are feeling further and further from the LGBT community the more we see they don’t actually give two shits about bisexual women. Just whatever is “ Q “ enough to make them rationalize us remaining in the community.
Like, it’s bad enough I gotta deal with straight people and their perception of bisexual women, let alone how bisexual women are portrayed in pornography being the only point of reference for straight dudes. I don’t need this fetishizing from the commmunity that’s SUPPOSE to love and support us.
And I understand that bisexuality isn’t a clear equal line of half loving men and half loving women. I myself prefer women much more over men. However, I am disappointed in the community as a whole and how they dismiss THE POINT of our sexuality just to affirm that we can be apart of “ their community “.
I think we need to have an open and rightfully angry discussion with the whole of the LGBT community about fetishizing of bisexuals.
Any other biwomen noticing this? Is there anything like this going on for bimen?
