I came out as bi a couple of weeks ago and I thought I’d have a look at the LGBTQ community as I really didn’t (and I stress, still don’t) know much about it. So I read up and from what I can see (so far anyway) not many of the different groups are that keen on each other. I’ve read loads of stuff about biphobia, transphobia, people not believing that bi/pan is real and all that nonsense and that’s before we get to the racism. So I guess my question is, is the LGBTQ community an actual community where people care about each other or is this more of a we’re just all the people trapped in a high school gym hiding from the zombies and forced to make the best of it type of situation?
