What's wrong with the term: bisexual?!?
Post Body

Let me begin by saying that I believe similarly to Kinsey regarding human sexuality and emotionality. I see both existing on a continuum. On one end is 100% hetero and the other is 100% homo. I believe that all humans fall somewhere on the continuum for both sex and emotions.

I think one end would be a self classification of homosexual, the other end would be heterosexual and all the stops in between would be bisexual.

Personally, I would classify my bisexuality as being 60-40 homo to hetero on sexuality and 10-90 homo to hetero for emotionality. I do not crave romance with men. But I am fine with FWB experiences with men. These locations on the continuum would classify me as bisexual.

But in the last 5-10 years I see all these new terms being used: homoflexible, heteroflexible, mostly straight, mostly gay, etc. When I might suggest that these people are bisexual, they get all insulted as if I have called them a dirty word. And I have to be honest, this infuriates me. It's as if bisexuals are now berating other bisexuals because that classification is somehow tainted.

Thoughts?
