I'm a femme female in my early 30's. In the past couple years I've accepted that I'm bi, have told a handful of friends one at a time. The thing is, I haven't hooked up with woman in over six years. In my 20's I was more easy-going about being "sexually adventurous" but now approaching or finding that is daunting.
I need advice on this; I'm in a long distance open relationship that's fragile. We love and care about each other and have for six years but there's been rocky times. He knows and is understanding that I want to explore my bi-ness. He's also quick to be jealous. I recently stopped actively dating and shared with him that I stopped because the process of becoming intimate with new partners is messy and complicated (referencing the handful of first and second dates with women that didn't go very far because of my hesitancy/nervousness). Things between us feel much better than they have in a long time. So, my question is, should I just go to a club and find a hook up and kind of like, get it "over with" or rip off the bandaid of my shyness? If I did, do I tell him about it?
