HELLO!!! I’m 18m and gay/ace
I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping me these last few months. Even though I’m not bi I feel like I’ve found a place that’s loving and understanding.
I originally joined this sub (along with other subs of the LGBTQ community) to broaden my understanding and to improve my knowledge on issues in the lgbt community that I don’t personally face.
I know there’s unfortunately so much biphobia in gay spaces and it breaks my heart. I promise we aren’t all like that at all. You are valid and beautiful no matter who/if you’re dating!
I know bi folk aren’t a monolith, but everyone I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with has been nothing but lovely. I think this sub is the most open and understanding lgbt sub and that’s so awesome.
Now more than ever we need to stick together.
I hope this message is okay to post. I’m not bi but I am autistic and being here has been a wonderful experience. I’m currently facing my own struggles with my identity (realising I’m ace, maybe aro) and I’m terrified I’ll end up alone because of it. I think you’ve all been really supportive. This sub is the reason I started going to therapy and getting help for my trauma.
You are valid and loved! Have a wonderful day/night!!!! 💙💜🩷
